Access to tools ?

Hi guys,

I did the big move to the Gold Coast a couple of months back and thought that I would have access to some machining tools at my new work place.... but alas.... I don't. Now work has stalled on my build so I am getting desparate.

This might be a bit of a long shot, but is there anyone in the Brisy, Gold Coast area that has access to some larger tools (lathe, mill ??) that wouldn't mind a visitor every now and then.

I don't have any extremely big things to produce, just alot of little nitty gritty things that come with the territory... bushes, bearing blocks, rod ends... stuff like that. Stuff that is too fidly (therefore expensive)to give to an engineering shop, and is easy to make with the right tools.

I would be forever indebted !!

Paul

Re: Access to tools ?

Hi Sonny,

Thanks for the offer mate. It was nice to see someone wasn't prepared to let the thread slide off into oblivion without at least one reply.... much appreciated.

You have already helped me out... I got hold of a 'backyard foundary' book to do a little melting etc after seeing you have a go at making the prop hub. Great fun, but I have found that it is definately an art form in many ways !!

How did you go with that prop hub design by the way?
