Trip to Lameroo
G'Day Gents,
Will be taking the ferry Spirit of Tasmania on the eve of Saturday 31st March, docking in Melbourne the following Sunday morning, 1st of April. ( I know, now I'm having second thoughts).
I will be travelling to Lameroo, with Blue Butterfly in the gyro Van. Have some time up my sleeve to catch up with some local crew and am offering up my help as ground crew/spotter for anyone flying across from Vic to SA. The only requirement is that we are on site for the AGM thingy as I have never been and am 'amped' up to attend. So I believe getting to the AGM means being there by Wednesday night as Thursday is the AGM's...
Cheers,
Mitch.

Nick not from 1000', damn i could have a 5 min nanny nap and still have time to flare, no your right, thou i havent done much lately, but used to doing up to 10 hrs in the seat at a time, but this will be the furtherset in a sort of straight line, pity its not in summer time thou, get about 4-5 hrs more flying time in a day, i think i could do the whole leg to caboolture easily now, it light enough to fly between 4 am and 7 pm now days but winter will pull a heap of time off that..

Re: Trip to Lameroo
Hey Mark,no problems with a bed down here, the only problem if you stay at Allans is Deena's cat.If you are a cat lover(no,not pussy's)you will have no problems and will get on famously,If however you make the same mistake as I did and tell her all cats are feral and should be destroyed, you may not do too good.
A good alternate on the way would be Rob Patrony's at Bundaberg or Gympie airport if you wanted to top up with fuel. Gympie's only an hour north of Caboolture and I could drop a jerry can there just in case.

Re: Trip to Lameroo
Muz with 8+ hrs of flying time, the 640 kms is no probs, unless the winds are not nice, if so i'll drop into Murgon or some where like that, that is unless i can find someone to call on, i'm still talking to people about it, just nice to have a back up plan, most times i can average about 100km ground speed, but there have been times where the gps said 40 odd km ground speed, now that took along time to get home..
Thanks for the offer of the bed,,,, cats hmmmm best i stear clear of Deena's cat then, best part abouyt cats is they taste a bit like chicken, but stewed right you never know the difference
