Re: Mount Beauty "Gathering of the moths" Flyin

Thanks fellers, I must say even though I have flown higher in other aircraft, flying to these hights in an open frame gyro still brings on the butterfly's.
Bones, my temp guage on the left side of my pannel shows 11.5 degree's, this is warm for us Victorian's.
This year there were only 2 gyro present, mine & Alan Murrays. I would love to see more gyros next year.
I just cant get enougth of flying here, it is trully a fantastic place.

Sam......

Re: Mount Beauty "Gathering of the moths" Flyin

Its a bit hard to see in the picture, but at altitude, my rotor RPM was up an extra 150 RPM.
My Engine RPM was also up by 600-700 RPM, all to maintain my standard hands off trim of 50Kts.
EGT's normally sit at about 11, but were down to 10.5 (Running cooler, richer).
All very interesting

SamL.....
