Well Gents a little update here for those waiting patiently for the rooms accomodation/camping/caravan sites/food package available on site at the Clarence Point Lodge. Recieved an email from Andrew Roberts the owner, he returns to OZ today and we are finalising details over the weekend.
Muzz has asked me to write a blurb for the Gyro News, so I will be able to 'pen' this by end of the weekend and post said information Monday on the forums.
There are plenty of other places to to stay ranging from 5 Minute Drive to 15 Mins though Andrew and I have attempted to make the Lodge a viable 'one stop shop', for accomodation and meals.
Members attending and staying on site at the Lodge will need to book a spot. Meals/BBQ food/drinks/fuel will be available on site....no requirement to book or buy a package. The Lodge is setup for this end.
I returned to Tassie myself earlier in the week and as good fortune would have it, I was seated next to a woman who I could see was wanting to talk. Frankly I was 'knackered' from a busy week in Sydney, so I resisted her sideways glances and attempts to get my attention. Upon decent into Launceston she finally engaged me in converstaion and sure enough, got around to talking about Peter Garrett, the pulp mill and other stuff. Finally, discussion of the Three Peaks on Good Friday led to the Gyro Nationals and the fact that her very good friend is the ONLY camera man for SouthernCross TV here in the North of Tassie. I will be talking to this fellow very soon to establish a connection, working towards having TV coverage and the possiblilty of making a Gyroplane documentry based around the ASRA Nationals 2009 and including those gyros that attend and are flying around the North of the State prior to and after the event.
That is the 'plan' at this stage, again based upon approvals from the ASRA Board.
Please give consideration to changing your plans and commit to the Tassie ASRA Nationals and a well deserved holiday for you and your family.

Do it now.
Cheers,
Mitch
