Just a small problem...

Mr. Rotor.
How do I set things so that I don't have to keep scrolling left and right to read all posts?
Also I can't see the Smiley face icons, I just get a box and a word.
Thanking you.

Graeme.

Re: Just a small problem...

Hi Graeme

I'll take a stab at helping you even though Geoff could probably do it better.

Start by minimising all all your open screens either using the minus button or the square button in the top right hand side of the screens till you reach your back ground screen.

Then click the right hand mouse button either once or twice and you will bring up a box at the bottom of which is the word properties click on the word properties.

This should bring up a box with the heading display properties under which is a header saying SETTINGS click on this to open it.

On the bottom left should be screen resolution and it should be probably at a minimum of 800 by 600 but higher is ok too i run my computer at 1024 by 768

Also Graeme if you want to view high resolution photos that are large then you can up your screen resolution to see more of the photo's in the screen

Hope that this is clear and precise and helps mate

Regards Mark

Re: Just a small problem...

Thanks Mark, your quite right mate ....

yes 1024 X 768 is optimum for the site ... 800 X 600 is still ok ...

if you run your monitor at one of those resolutions then everything should look OK ....

Re: Just a small problem...

Thankyou, good, now I will have to buy some glasses cause I can't read the smaller print!!!
What about the smiley face icons? I only see a box with a "X shiver", the word describes the smiley face, the only one I see is the little dude giving us a brown eye.

Graeme.

Re: Just a small problem...

Hi Graeme

Follow all the previous instructions and when you get to the screen resolutions on the bottom right hand side you should see a button that says advanced, click on this button.

This should bring up a new box that says display settings and display and under sisplay there should be a bar with a down arrow that is hopefully saying normal size 96 dpi, If you click on the down arrow and then select the 120dpi setting and restart the computer everything should now be larger.

Hope this helps

Regards Mark
