Membership Count

Geoff,

I have noticed that there's a difference in the membership count between the home page membership count and that of the Forum membership count. 302 Vs 310. Coding error perhaps?

Ted

Re: Membership Count

Ok here goes .... I'll explain (I hope)

don't forget, you asked for it

As you already know we use two programs on the site - the main site(Joomla) and the forum (smf) then we use a bridge to join the 2 programs so that when members log on the main site they are really using an smf login box on the Joomla site. With me so far? The members shown on the main site are taken from the Joomla database and the members on the forum are taken from the smf side of the database. Now you might remember that the site was started using phpNuke software before we moved over the mambo and then over to Joomla. PhpNuke only use the one user base and I was able to import everyone over into smf successfully, but there wasn't any way to import all of the users from phpNuke into mambo/Joomla. So that both front page and forum showed the same number of members I hacked the front page mod and now have to physically edit it to reflect the same number of members as the forum .....
