Its been said plenty of times, wen two people are at each others throtes on a forum, that the biggest downside to this amazn communication meadium is the unpersonal form it has. Coz wen the missinterpritation is eventualy understood and both partys come good, they realise its the non face to face part they missed most.
If theyd had the same dissagreement in real life, 99% of the time it never woulda got outa hand.

Sum mite remember the dissagreement me and Ted [ beefbear] had a while back, [and russ] that ended seemingly with Ted go'n home. [eventualy, after i ignored him for ages]
Sumwhere along the line i pissed Ted off.
I know im not the best communicater, specialy here, and my posts are generaly short, to the point, sumtimes with a bit of humer and could give the impression im a hard nosed 'stuff you' asshole.
My posts are short for good reason, like it takes me too f%$# long to type with one finger, and if i want to make a point i stick to it and i dont care who im arguing with, my point is my point wether your a druggy or god. Im not sure coz i was never enlightened, but im assuming it was my forum demeaner that pissed Ted off.
Too bad. Im never go'n to change, but its not my intention to piss anyone off.
But piss him off i did, and after sum PMs from sumone, i was told Ted was haven personal problems and it seemed he was just taken it out on me. I was asked to ignor him coz my defencive posts wernt helpn.
So i did, and shortly after he dissapeared, so i thought at least im not 'not helpn' anymore and things could get better.


Then not long back a new member came on nameing himself Drifter.
It did seem very unusual that this bloke 'sounded' alot like Ted, and he again was onto me, just like Ted used to.
He seemed to have an attitude like i wouldnt know, coz im a simplton and noone will listen to a simplton. He's rite, not alota people would listen to a simplton, but wot would this wanker know. A wanker who wouldnt give his name, told Brian ages ago he was John Howard [ not that John Howard], wouldnt say if he flew or not, wouldnt enlighten anyone to anythn bout himself, and at the same time expect us to take him seriously with his self acclaimed worldlyness and we're just a bunch o yobbos.
I took offence to this drifter coz of his annimity and his taken cheap personal shots at me, while hiden behind his computer screen.
This non flyer with no name was telln me i wouldnt know, and didnt have the authority to comment on rotor management. He could have been rite, but who was anyone on the forum, who didnt know, supposed to believe wen one is a SCG and the other could be anyone?

Well, i got more PMs lately, sayn that this drifter was actuly Ted.
Why?
Why would you come back on to a forum that you felt had hostile people like me on it, and pretending to be sumone else, but acting zactly the same way?
Thats why the mask blew up in your face Ted, coz your the same as before, so the responce was the same. Iv said it plentry of times, i dont care if your a newby of the gooroo of gyros, if you post sumthn ona world forum, that can influence the thoughts of others tryn to figure fact from fiction and i consider it to be fiction, ill speak up.

Ted, if you want attention, theres two typs you will get. Good or bad.
Bad, or negative attention is easy to attract. Just say sumthn that you know will piss sumone off, or try to be half smart and bad attention will come your way from everywhere. And if you keep at it, youll start believen that its real, and youll end up very lonely coz noone will take you seriously.
Good, or postitive attention is abit harder to achieve, coz its not so emotional. If you say sumthn nice, or even just state a fact, most people will read it and just smile. But its not lost there, the more you do it, the more youll be remembered for the good things you say.

Iv got no idea wot to believe bout you, cept you seem to have it in for me.
Thats fine, your not be the first, and no dout you wont be the last, but mate, if you genuinly want to learn bout gyros and airodynamics, theres plenty of switched on people just on this little forum.
I dont think there is, coz iv never met a simgle gyro nut with a bad streak in him. Russ can be a pain in the ass sumtimes, he goes off half cocked occasionaly, but wen showen the light, he cant get to the pooter quick enuff to admit it. That, to me, makes Russ a bigger man than he actualy is. I know alota socalled men who wouldnt, me included. But he's got a name, and everyone knows who he is and where he is and he's got strong convictions. He's just a little haisty at times.
You may have noticed last time, i ignored you, as requested. But then you came back on under a different name, so wot is it you want? More of the same?

Right on the money, Birdy. The whole thread was fairly classic Ted.

If we met him at a pissup, and he told us his name was "Bill", we'd probably think he was a great bloke, cause you can look in his eye when he's talkin and see what he is on about. But the computer does one of 2 things. One is you can't see the twinkle in some bastards eye when he's crankin you. The other is that it lets some bastard say things that they mightn't actually say when they are in reaching distance.

Yeah, Birdy, its obvious you give a shit, and thats why your posts are such a joy to read.

But this is over the top. Never have I seen such a big Birdy post. I think that broken hand must be tying you down, so you are pacing around like a caged cat. Conservatively I reckon that post took two days...

I have placed a name field into the User Information for new registrations.

Existing users will be prompted to fill out their name when they come online and cannot access the forum until they have filled in a name and saved their profile..

I hope you don't expect me to spend my time verifying names ...... as it is anyone can put any name in they like and we wouldn't know any different .......

There was no "personal" attack on you. I never said anything to suggest you knew nothing about rotor management. I have never ever suggested that you could not fly gyros not that you didn't understand rotor management. What I do believe is that you can't explain in greater detail why something happens. You are great at flying but you have difficulty in being able to put it down on paper.

You said I didn't know anything about you but I was able to post significant things about you and your history. I might add that these items were posted on the internet by the Australian Women in Agriculture within the March 2005 Newsletter in which the article "Liz Bird Profile" was a significant contribution. Either you are wrong or Liz are wrong, but I didn't bring this up before, because its not a personal attack on you.

You said that you would make a great leader and I responded by saying that you couldn't possibly be since you were disadvantaged. I also took the time to post the reasons why but you responded with childish retorts. Not exactly the sort of behaviour, you would like to see from a good leader.

I was also able to prove that there are some people on this forum who attack people because of who they are rather than the intent of their content. Because of this you claim that I'm playing games. The reality is that you are clearly guilty of playing personal politics with others. When you get lost in a topic you resort to innuendos and retorts. Again this is not the desired trait of a great leader.

I have never ever run away from this forum because of you. You have deceived yourself in an effort to make yourself feel better. Well Birdy, I'm here to stay despite your inadequacies. So build a bridge and get over it.
