New kid on the block

My name is Keith Comensoli, I also use the name Skyhigh on the ASRA site; love them both.
I am an ex-air force photographer and recently retired from the RAAF after 20 yrs. Wanted to fly so I started with the fixed wing thing with plans to move across to rotary. Done about 34 hours now and recently realised that perhaps Gyro's would be a lot more fun, a lot cheaper; and best of all you can own your aircraft at about the same price as the second family car is worth: or about the same cost that I have spent on lessons. How good is that!

So I have decided to go to the Nationals at Lameroo and walk with the people who already walk-the-walk and talk-the-talk, and hopefully pick a few brains, get the feel of what Gyrating (for want of the correct terminology) is all about and hopefully walk away with a bug and passion firmly planted in my mind.

Will be taking my camera gear with me and hope to take a lot of photos as well.

I live in Cairns and work in real estate - but trying to get away from that as well. If you have a job vacancy, give me a yell.

Look forward to the posts and hopefully meeting you at Lameroo.

Hi Kieth,

Welcome to the site and the World of Gyros. Looking forward to seeing you on the forum and maybe even a photo or 2.

Re: New kid on the block

Hey Bones...thanks for the info left on ASRA; followed that up with Murray and Allan already re crewing for the Nationals. And no not handy with 'puters' just know a little about Photoshop and was playin around one day.

Russell, looking at your profile your 105 years old. Obviously a wealth of information after all those years. Actually I know another Russell who has a property at Atherton, right on Tinaroo dam. He too is building eventually, but right now they ride their quads and motor bikes, go karts and dune buggies...not to mention the speed boat....imagine his face pulling up on his block in a Gyro....can't wait! How green will one man go?
