Hello out there

I am a recently gyro afflicted poor bugger. I live in central NSW between Griffith and Leeton at a little village called Stanbridge. I am a broken down brickie turned citrus farmer. I also work a full time job in Griffith cause the bastards import shitty juice concentrate and good Aussie fruit falls on the ground. (oops, sorry about that)
On a brighter note, I am a long time motorcyclist and have a few veteran through to classic bikes and a heap of basket cases the missus reckons i'll need to live to be 200 to finish.
I have a son Paul, in Kunnunurra who flys a Suzuki powered Rosco gyro. He arranged for me to go up with Stewie Black. What a buzz !!! Haven't enjoyed any thing so much since the neighbours cat went thru the mulcher! So I ummed and arrd for a while and left pictures of gyros lying round till the missus said "don't bring home another project". So i've taken that to mean I can bring one home that I don't have to restore. So now I'm on the look out for a gyro that I don't have to work on before I can use it. She will be so proud of me for not starting another project..... won't she?
Any how, I'd like to say I've enjoyed all I've read and learned since I found this site. Well done to who ever started and maintains it.
Cheers for now Mike (Hooky) Watts.

Re: Hello out there

G'Day Hooky, As they say "it a small world" i had the pleasure of meeting Paul and his girl friend in Kununarra and was there to help unload his gyro. After we all finished kicking the tyres Stuart took it for a rap, Paul was proud as and the smile on his face said it all, it was good to see. Motor bike's, Gyro's and an understanding wife............
What more could you want in life ??

Les.

Re: Hello out there

Russell'
Thanks for the tip on the Mt Isa gyro. Ted Hurley is considering whether he will sell it now as his circumstances have changed a bit and he's moving to Toowoomba. Your right about it being a real purty gyro. I wouldn't mind having it in my shed.
Cheers Hooky

Re: Hello out there

Hey Crusty,
you are right it is a small world, and getting smaller too! It is nice to know someone out there in gyro land knows Paul and Kate. He has been having a ball in the gyro. Kate has been doing her fair share of worrying.... but....then.... thats what wives are supposed to do isn't it?? besides the cooking, cleaning, fridg restocking, gyro polishing, etc etc.
Hooky.

The missus wil come round in the end...... besides tell her it'll keep you out of the arms of the other woman... That'll get her approval.
