Re: Hello out there

Yep,
I know Tony at the Honda Centre.
I work for Murrumbidgee irrigation, ( the old Water Commission , now private)so we would know a few of the same people no doubt.
Can't say I know of John Vogel. I don't know of any gyros around here either .
Cheers Hooky

Re: Hello out there

I don't suppose you were one of the 'Stanbridge Sliprocks' that was helping us line the main canal in Leeton a few years back? I was working for Phil De Sax & we had 3 diggers there doing the job. If you were ,then THAT is a small world !

Re: Hello out there

Echo,
I wasn't working there but i did visit 2 or 3 times. That was fairly new groundbreaking stuff, hanging that bentonite mat in the trench and backfilling it to stop the seepage. It worked well too.
Cheers Hooky

Re: Hello out there

bentonite - now I remember what that shit was called. Yeah, they were good blokes working with us out there , I'll see if I can find some pics I took of them ( usually sitting down drinking tea , they had one bloke whose job was to maintain the fire for the day ).
