100hp rotax (still for sale)

Yes, this engine is still for sale for $5000. It now has 2488 hrs on it. I have not been near a computer for a couple of months. I tendered and won a goat removal contract with the National Parks, however CASA became involved and mustering in gyros was deamed illegal, although the cooperation from the ASRA guys was incredible, thanks Allan, Murray and Rob Glenn. In the end I had to get current on helicopters again and find a Robinson to cross-hire. After paying crosshire and avgas bills you appreciate gyros especially when at the end of the day the difference between the job done in the two different types of machines is very minimal (we have to try and keep moving on this part 103 deal).
Was sad to learn on the site today of Jeff Henley-Smith's passing. This is a big loss to the gyro fraternity and especially to us fellows in the bush. Condolences to his family and friends. He made a good product in a field where there are not many people with knowledge let alone experts. I was a little touched to see his photo fine tuning a set of blades he sold me by my old machine on the site
Anyhow, if anybody wants this engine it's still for sale. I will run and fly it if somebody wants to come out or will pull it out and pack it up. I might even throw in a set of used but undamaged Warpdrive blades if you're a dinkum bloke!

Hi Deano, its part 149 I think we need legislated but the bad news is that 149 will apparently not be legislated before the end of 08 which is very disappointing. The hold up is with CASA or the govt, take your pick!

Yes, its a big loss to lose a top rotor maker, thankfully, its been kept going till a buyer can be found so hopefully, someone will pick up where Jeff left off!

Hobby nad and Nod, The engine has only ever been run on Premium unleaded and nothing else. It is currently under offer and have had quite a few calls over it.
If nothing eventuates, Nod, I have your number. However my number is 07 46 256 335, if you have any questions. Will be away for the next 2 weeks.
