Re: Rotor Blade Loading
Around the 1.5 to 1.8 lbs/square foot Bones. The legal mtow of 1320 lbs with 30' rotors gives a disc loading of 1.87 lbs/square foot. A bit high, so that is why I have a set of 33 AKs travelling somewhere between Jeff and myself.

Paul, after Bones little adventure with transport of rotor blades, who knows, yours might be going via Perth?
The chook is looking good Paul, congratulations.

Thanks Graeme. Yea, I might have to get Adrian and the team from WA to bring them across.

Re: Rotor Blade Loading
That's Ok paul.........would rather be reedin about em, success or failure, then i could make an informed decision.
PS............has the flamechook ventured away from the bitumen yet, like a mile or 2.
Waddles's build should be in the air this next week..........should be. With 600 plus Lbs of thrust, it should be a ball terror

Re: Rotor Blade Loading
Hi Paul,
When you do your loading calc for the 30 footers, what are you putting in for the hub bar etc. I'm not getting the same number as you.... can you talk me through it, cos I don't want to miss something down the track.
Cheers
Paul
