Test Flight Question

I have been confronted with this situation a number of times, just wanted to see how others would approach it??

A Question to Consider

Your mate turns up at the strip with a second hand gyro he has just purchased.
He only has limited flying experience, and so he wants you to take it for a test flight and check it out.
The machine is currently registered and was last flown three months ago, according to the log book.

What would you do? What additional checks would you make outside the normal pre-flight?
How would you do the test flight and checks?

Re: Test Flight Question

Give it a damn good twice over...does it gyro wise "look right" ...do a couple of strip runs, then onto the mains, balance, feel about...........then up it.

Must admit, i've had a couple of interesting demos over the years.....borderline power, and clearin trees is fun stuff.
