WA Gyro Crash

The Cairns Post, 02-04-2007, Ed: 1, Pg: 010, 325 words , NEWSNATION
A West Australian man has died in a gyrocopter crash in the state's southeast. The 63-year-old man from Bullsbrook, north of Perth, was the only person aboard the small aircraft when it crashed near the Mundrabilla Roadhouse.

This was in yesterday's Cairns Post, does anyone know if this report is true?

Re: WA Gyro Crash

Rob,

I noticed it a couple of days ago now in two articles on the web.

Yes I'm sorry to say it is true. The exact circumstances need to be investigated and from the information I have received I don't want to speculate on the reason for the crash.

An unfortunate incident.

Hello all,

Posting these images on behalf of my father.... of the crew that left from Bindoon and sadly only 8 will return... my father is driving the truck over for the crew and only 5 minutes before the accident the deceased gave the thumbs up to my dad as he flew by to notify everything was a-ok...

to say the least there were some sad fellas traveling over the nullabour

the WA crew should arrive tomorrow in Lameroo

Re: WA Gyro Crash

Bugger.

While on a tour of Perth and southern WA I went and met Adrian Stoffels in person at Bindoon and know he is in the crew flying over. He seems a nice bloke and I know this will be affecting him badly as it will everyone else in the same contingent.

My sympathies for the family and the WA gang, it is not nice to soldier on with leaden hearts and the wind out of your sails.

Nick.

Greg,

Just a word of warning: this webpage at photobucket has a built-in virus - Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Agent.jh
My anti-virus guard nailed it.
This virus isn't that bad - it just mostly organizes unauthorised visits from your computer to other websites to rise their ratings.

As for the rest - my deepest condolence to family and friends. It's a damn hard thing for everybody even on the other side of the Ball.
