Re: Todayus Firebird pics....

Bob, the US forum is much more user friendly for posting pics and they can be larger. Why would I not just post them once and give the link. I am confused by your comment.

Re: Todayus Firebird pics....

Paul,

What Bob is saying is why not post your Aussie Gyro on an Aussie Forum - I think he is anyway - to me it doesn't matter where you post things mate.

But, it does matter that you don't understand why there are photo restrictions. I'll try to explain to you why I put photo restrictions on.

Imagine if you didn't have a weight restriction on your gyro or aeroplane. Some people would put a lot of irrelevant weight on when they were building it. BUT because you are weight restricted you use lighter components that do the same job. Well, same with photos here Paul - people upload photos that are way overweight when a lighter photo looks just as good. There is an example below:

One photo is 130kb and the other is around 45kb ..... There's a difference but can you really tell without scrutinizing? If you bring the size (physical and kb) of your photo's down you can get 5 photos per msg with the current limitations.

If I didn't put limitation's on them Paul, people on dial-up would never get to see a photo and the site would reach max limitations a lot quicker. This way we get 3 or 4 times more bang for our buck

Re: Todayus Firebird pics....

I fully understand Geoff and I agree with it. When I resize pics I have gotten into the habit of making them fit the US forum, so to add them here I have to resize everyone again!!
The old dog new tricks thingie!!!

IMHO it is good to have people cross fertilize with the various forums each of which have their own personality.

Thanks for this forum Geoff and keep up the great work.

Aussie Paul.
