You'll have to excuse my ignorance, but what's a Gyke?

Re: Bundaberg?

A gyke is a converted trike - basically the head of the trike is replaced to allow for a rotor to be used instead of a wing. It is controlled by the original trike controller.

Hey thanks for the information guys.

I'll make some enquiries tonight.

What is generally the most expensive out of a gyke and gyro?

Re: Bundaberg?

There aren't too many gykes around and you'd more than likely have to convert a trike or have one converted for you. Gyro's can range from less than 10 grand for a fun machine - good for learning in and a ton of fun, you'd get your money back reselling if you decide to advance on to a dearer machine, ranging up to around 70-80 grand for a fully enclosed imported twin seater. Of course there's a big range of machines to choose from and all sorts of prices.

Get in the car and see Dave Stubberfield - he's at the Evoca Centre next to the Garden place there, he's usually got a cheap machine for sale or may know where you can pick one up. Worth going and seeing him to talk to anyway. There are quite a few people in Bundy that fly and he'll be able to put you onto them also.
