Tail wheels Des X2. They will be mounted at the bottom of each fin.

Re: Prototype GT Gyroplane KRUZA

With the ground clearance under that tail, me tinks your blades might be chewin dirt before tail wheel comes into contact with the ground.
30 plus footers......yikes

I flew number one.........went great, why the change here ????

Re: Prototype GT Gyroplane KRUZA

Sam,

A serious question, are they planing on using a rotax in the future? there is no reason why it wouldnt work with one, the weight saving makes the performance the same or better

Thumbs up Re: Prototype GT Gyroplane KRUZA

Hey Mitch, "Top Shelf!!!!"

Russ, the current Kruza is flying with a set of 29 ft Patroney's and it flys great. The exact tail wheel set up is still not finalized. It may end up similar to the Xenon.
The main reason for the changes was to strengthen the tail configuration. This setup is also actually lighter than Kruza 1, but as all new designs, any performance enhancements are still to be proven during its test flying phase.

Bonesy, the 912S/914 could be a serious possibility in future, but the boys have other hurddles to attend to first.

Regards SamL......

'Top Shelf' Indeed!

Certainly looking the goods with that tail set-up. I reckon you did a good thing there Sam. It looks a better aircraft for my mind and I believe performance testing will be proven.

Hope it comes together for you in good time and good order Sam.

Cheers

Mitch.
