2nd Day Bushes for Springs and Tubes

Rate this Entry
NuBushes cut with a pipe cutter to length and installed in Springs top and bottom grommets.

Here you can see the recond springs hanging after new paint.

Note the Spring has it's own rubber and steel split bush.

We then insert a long bush, place a couple of plastic washers either side then sleeve bush, which locks the washers against the rubbers. Springs are then inserted into the main down strut and bolted thru. Pic of that available next post.

Also a pic showing the main axle strut tubes, one has a NuBush installed along with the new longer length of brake line. Installing a NuBush after a recoat of powder coating calls for deburring the hole again and knocking the NuBush thru. I use a large rubber mallet and blocks of wood, gently taping the bush thru, then lining it up with a screw driver, before seating it fully thru to the other hole. Be carefull to not pinch your brakeline if you have installed it prior to bushing all the tubes.

The next time out I should be able to attach all the tubes, axles, wheel etc.....then it'll be starting to look the part.
