Gents,
I met Chris at Cooma 2005. TV images this morning of Chris' UFO gyro were sickening. Apparently Chris has severe head and chest injuries. My prayers and best wishes go out to Chris and his wife in their recovery.

Mitch.

Chris is in a Melbourne hospital in an induced coma with very serious head and chest injuries. His wife is in Bendigo hospital with multiple fractures but ok. Fortunately the air ambulance is based at Bendigo and Chris only lives a few mins by air from Bendigo. He was rescucitated several times his father said.

Chris's father rang me a few mins ago with the update on their conditions. Kevin Traeger who sold Chris the aircraft flew over from South Oz and is conducting the investigation.

A sad day yesterday for the gyro community. Chris was the Rotocraft Assn of Victoria, RAV, newsletter editor and did a wealth of work for the gyroplane community.

Aussie Paul. :tears:

Hi there all, Thanks for the sad news, I was hoping that it was all wrong. The sad troubling thought is that is the Gyro that I was so impressed with when I attended the Nationals at Lameroo. I wish Chris and Jenifer a speedy recovery. All the best Des Garvin

Pete, high disc loading, short strip, no wind. Possible scenario, could have clipped the fence. :( :(

Mate i dont know who the frig you are,,, but you couldnt wait to get on the net and tell every one over in yanky land about it all ayyyy, mate pull %$#%# head in, one of our mates just died for %$#@s sake

This is not the place to be RUDE you are simply showing that you have no thought process before typing in comments.

While you were typing in silly comments you were not be aware I knew about Chris and what had occured for several hours before hand.
However since not all of our RAV club members are registered on the RAV club site it was only prudent to ensure that as many as possible RAV members were aware or what had occured, I am assuming you knew him personally, as I did.

It's the first time I've been here for a while and I find this, 'shocked' is to say the least,'Oh crap',comes to mind, on reading through the first page I had hope, but the the next page is a horrible kick in the guts, bugger, and, what a bastard for this to happen, a good man lost. So sad that it went this way, my heartfelt comiserations and condolences for all involved, a tragic day indeed.

Nick.
