Mark, I am afraid that there is only one forum for really good gyro info, and that IS the US forum.
I believe that we should have been given some notice as to the Oz forum going down, and the reasons why. Bad communications again I am afraid!!!!

Paul .... everything is what you (we) make it.
I guess what your saying is that the Americans have all the info and want to share it round??
If we want to share info etc .... we can do it here ... or go to the U.S forum .... it's really up to us to decide ..... we can make our Aussie forums a success by making more interesting posts and maybe attract a bigger following from the U.S.
I was always under the opinion that us Aussie's flew more gyro than the Yanks?? Maybe they talk more gyro's and we fly more gyro's ....
I better hide for a while ... :paper:
Mark, we dropped to 18 degrees last nite...............unreal, saw penquins crossing the road...........yea antarctica all rite
Geoff, yea...........rekin we do more full on flying here, of the view them yanks are more sunday morn lads, buts that's ok too. They definately gota couple of chaps that seem to know their shyte...........re.........the why's and wherefors
but then again, we got some real good info guys too, but they are private chaps...........real private
Just continue this site as is, the numbers are definately growing here, as the word get's around. Can see this being the premier site in Oz within a few short years..............well done

Thats ok guys. Yeah I reckon Aussies fly more than the yanks, ony because we can do more legal work(mustering etc). BUT with the US population there has to be more smarter people than here in Oz. Yes we have some great people, BUT the same as everyrthing in OZ, the miniscule poulation is our downfall.
Being private does not help humanity Russ.
I was talking to a retired BASI officer, who now free lances his expertise, a few weeks ago. He was doing a job for a Qld coroner re one of our gyro accidents, and needed some help. I had done a number of investigations with him back in the 80's/early 90s. He believes that because of my outspoken push for two seat training since 1987, and safe stable gyros since 1999, we must have saved quite a lot of lives. That makes me feel good, even if it means that some people don't like me!!!!
I am enjoying my new single seater that I have built for sale. No bloody cabin!!!!!

that's a surprise to me Paul - "some people don't like me" I guess it's their loss .... I bet you don't loose any sleep over it though ....

What sort of a moronic comment is this. Sure they have almost 15 times the population but that doesn't mean they are "more smarter".
Perhaps I have misread the post and you meant that they should have 15 times as many smart peolple as we do.
Peter.

Peter said. "Perhaps I have misread the post and you meant that they should have 15 times as many smart people as we do." That is wxactly what I meant Peter. Sorry you misread. ::)
With 15 time more of them it must measn that more will be interested in gyros!!!
Aussie Paul. :mrhappy

don't let the fact that we have a small population in Australia get you down, for on a per population basis we have a significant number of people being held in high regard throughout the world, in all sorts of endevours. Whether its military, Science, medical or sport, we are good at what we do when we try and get over the " we're only an island" mentality.

Trouble is ... we don't seem to be able to keep the best of the best here in Aus ... they seem to follow the almighty $$$ and how can you blame them ..
Their whole package is BETTER.......money,challenge,backup,reputations,es teem, recognition
Yea , all that....................but leave behind, the best place on this planet.
BTW..........got a call today from brother "Bones".................says, he's missin you all

It is legal to muster on your own property, as long as you keep the bank angle under 60 degrees. Steeper than that is an aerobatic manouvre.
