max size for an avatar is 100 X 100 pixels but it'll resize if its bigger automatically ... if you use a transparent gif then it comes up better if you keep it to 100X100 ... you can use an animated gif also if you like but keep them to 100X100 as a resize will disable the animation.

u can use the karma + if you approve of a post or - if you don't ... just a little gimmick thing that's part of the forum software .... I can disable it if it's not used or not wanted ....
oh yeah ... and report to moderator ... don't let it scare you, it's just part of the package

Mark, all photo's are welcome ... I'll add an area down near your favorite hangout "The Bar"

how do you make an avatar?

I used photoshop to make an animated gif ... use a number of pictures, resive then and then make up an animated gif with them ...

other than that get the picture you want ... resize it to 100X100 or a litte less. You can save it as a .jpg or .gif (good for transparent images)

if you have any trouble upload or attach what you want to me and I'll make you one - animate will need more than one photo ... 3 or 4

Haven't used photo suite but you should be able to save the file as either a .gif or a .jpg

Theres a freebie called Paint Shop Pro (PSP) that'll let you do a heap of things .. it's pretty good and not a bad substitute for Adobr Photoshop. I use PSP for some things but most of the time I use Photoshop.

hey it worked,

anyone wanting to download a small gif making program, try axelsoft gif animator for free just google and get it from www.tucows.com
just choose download now with the version of windows you have and you dont have to pay!!

i had to resize the pics down to 96/96 pixels with another program but when you start with the gif animator hit file and start new and resize it to 96/96and your away.

hint, this program plays through real quick so i used copy frame 3 times to get 4 of each pic and slow it down.
