Delete your cookies ... try logging out when you leave the site and logging back in when you revisit ... not sure what's happening - with the upgrade to Joomla 108 the bridge had to be upgraded. Joomla have changed their loggin script and thrown a spanner in a lot of sites loggins ...

"Bear" with me while a try a few things ..

I'm dissapointed Rotor, not one picture of my flower shirt in there any where. :pistoles:
Just got home this morning after driving all night, after a very heavy night on Saturday :friday: , my attempted flying on sunday wasnt very flash to say the least, a great week end, got to meet some people that been talking to on here for ages, Mitch, Rotor, Birdy, Tim McClure, just to name but a few, Birdy and i had some fun entertaining on Saturday, and the competions on saturday and sunday were just great fun and it was good to see it was kept like that too be most...
Unfortunately we lost one gyro to an engine out on sunday morning, the important part was the pilot walked away from a pile of allu, and i chatted with him latter and he said(reading this BOB) it was because of his training, he only had soloed 2 weeks prior, he got it down fine though in the roll there was a stump hidden in a clump of grass that ruined everything. There was also another ea81 that died too, thou it was able to be put back on the strip with no damaged,, all in all as the first one of these type of things i have ever been to i was impressed with the level of pilot skill, and in fact a well known NSW pilot told me on the side that there was no doubt that the pilots down south were not up to the standard of what was there on the week end, so that all means that the level of flying is on the up, which is great...
Sorry for highjacking your thread rotor, move it on if you like, i might do one myself latter, after i settle down, unfortunately i never got any photos, as my camera just wouldnt not work for me at all..

Thanks Mark,

Sorry mate that's all I took .... been so long since I've been out in the sun, had to rest up a bit  ....

Yeah missed taking photo's of the crew .... would have been good to put a few faces to names, never mind! Pointed the camera at Bones a couple of time, but the shutter blinked and smoke started coming out so I gave up .... mighta been that bright red shirt he had on (I worked out that's why he's so good at mustering - he wears that shirt and the bush bulls chase him back to the holding yard!)

Took the photo's from Dave Stubberfield's twin - he was good enough to offer, thanks Dave.

And yes, top weekend. Have to thank Dave and his crew for all the work they put in preparing everything. There were no major tragedies and I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Looking forward to next years event, might even fly in myself this time :giggle:

Gedday Paul,

Thanks Paul, sure am disappointed you didn't turn up .... next year!

Should have stayed on and got some after hours picks ... they could have been interesting I think! A few a little closer to the strip wouldn't have hurt either ...

Tragedies .. none.

On the social flight to Gayndah, upon arrival 1 pilot decided not to fly his machine back due to mechanical problems.
On Saturday I only saw one forced landing at the northern end of the field which was a straight drive which got down ok.
On Sunday during an engine out landing 1 wheel caught a stump hidden in longish grass and rolled the gyro. This is second hand so not sure of how correct this info is.

Hi Rotor, Thanks for the pics they remind me of my trip to the Nationals at Lamaroo. I would recomend that ALL gyro enthusiests go to one just to see how gyros do fly in the hands of many different people. Just my ramblings, Des

G'Day Rotor,

Cranbourne Airfield, just a few kms south west of GeorgeTown. Flew in with Nigel in his trike, from outskirts of Beaconsfield, then head west over the Tamar River, past the Batman Bridge, over the range/Mt Direction area and into Cranbourne. We are not far from Bass Strait as may be seen from some of the river delta pics.

Thanks Geoff.

Mitch.
