Near Canberra wannabe flyer here. Have been vaguely interested for years - finally decided to do something about it. I figure I have until spring to get my act together,as it gets pretty cold hereabouts for the next 6 months!

I've been reading up a bit lately. Consequently I have pleny of hare-brained notions that I'll post in the general discussions so that people can shoot me down! But its a good way to learn.

(Oh no!, not another learning experience)

If at first you don't succeed, rotorcraft are probably not your thing.

Wanna be flyer, just north of Brisbane. Have been fascinated by helicopters for over 30 years, and have flown as a passenger in 3 different types of helos. Stumbled across an magazine article on gyros 20 years ago, and have been hooked on them ever since. Have built up a small library about gyro information from different sources. I had chosen a specific gyro that interested me, however the manufacturer in question ceased operations in late 2000. Which put the best laid plans of buying one into the ashes. Bugger !! I enjoy searching through the various gyro forums on-line (Oz, UK, & U.S.) learning more and more about the gyros on-going development.

I hope to start some training, and build a gyro in the next 2 years, if the shackles of a mortgage doesn't tighten beforehand.

Les.
