before i waste too much time typing, want type of funds are you talking about for "decent reasonably priced Dash Mount VHF transciever"
For something new you be looking around $1500 plus extras

Bones, ideally i'd like to find a cheaper used unit, but failing this i'm leaning towards a MGL V-10 digital unit.....

Just found a brand new flight line FL-760 VHF COM with intercom for just over 800 aus inc delivery, anyone heard of them....

Thanks for all your input Graeme....
Please let me rephrase my question for those who might like to be a little more helpful.
Has anyone any first hand experience ( ie, already purchased one lately, or know someone whos purchased one and installed it, just wondering about it's reliability and performance, and any difficulties with installation). Hopefully that makes it a little clearer..
