vBulletin 4

Hi all,

The upgrade to vBulletin 4 didn't go quite as smooth as I planned and we are still experiencing a few problems. I've placed the board back online mainly for the Forum. The rest will come back online as the authors update their products - Gallery, Videos etc. On that note I have found a good Classified/Auction addon for the Classifieds - just remember if you are going to place an ad that you can just use it for a Classified Ad and doesn't necessarily need to be an auction.

We'll also be adding a template similar to our old template as soon as I can get time to work on it.

If you have any problems let me know what it is and I'll do my best to fix it.

The current them is the default vB4 theme which I plan to leave on as a choice - and will add another theme like my last one (similar) as the new site default theme. Problem is there aren't any themes out for vb4 yet ... :(. but they'll come ... :mrhappy

Ok, there hasn't been a lot of product upgrades since VB4 was released but hopefully the Gallery, Links and the Article components will be released very soon! In the meantime you'll just have to grin and bear it!!

Likewise for look of the site - there hasnt been any templates released either .... but they're working on them ...

Hi,

A quick update on the Gallery, Video's, Links and Article areas ..... so far no one has released VB4 compatible versions of the software we use. As soon they do I'll be re-installing them.

Don't hold your breathe ..... it doesn't seem as though anyone's in a hurry to release anything for VB4!! :anger:

Site upgraded to vBulletin 4.0.2 PL1. vBLinks has also been updated to latest version.

Both upgrades are security and bug fix releases. If you have any problems or find a bug then let me know please.

Still waiting on the gallery upgrade ..... patiently I might add ...... :bored:

The Gallery has been changed to one that is compatible with vb4 - got sick of waiting for the old Gallery to be updated. The new one is a little different to our last gallery but you shouldn't have any trouble with it.

Whilst on the subject of Galleries - members can upload file to either the Gallery itself or into their own Albums attached to their profile.
