Geoff Morrison (GT Gyroplanes), as I was the spectator on the ground using my camera as a video, hense the ordinary clip. The only negative about flying it is that leaves no one to video.:(
Lots of fun flying though:mrhappy:mrhappy:mrhappy

New machine now boasts a hydraulic pre-rotator. Wunderlich just could not cut it when it came to spinning the 30ft Patroney blades.

Hi Pete
The old Monza racing seats in K1 are neat, but really heavy. Each seat weighs about 30-40KG's. Also because of their rap-around design they also rob the cab of additional sholder room. This is not so with the new design, and we now also have storage compartments below each seat. The seating position has also been lowered to allow for 6ft pilots, and higher/deeper seat cushions, can be customised for shorter pilots. Overall the benefits of the new design outweigh the advantages of the old.
Remember, GT Gyroplanes are an Australian manufacturer, so if its race seats you want then its race seats you will get.

G'Day Sam,

Who made the rotor head?

Mitch.

Bearing block and towers are Rosco.
Torque tube down is GT Gyroplanes.

Origionally it was a total Rosco unit but I was un happy with the Rosco torque tube being mild steel tube with steel internal slug with cut thread for main spindal bolt. This is normally locked in place via split pin arrangement. Instead, new GTG torque tube is solid 6061T6 rectangle and has the AN spindal bolt locked in place by a rolled thread castlated AN nut.
I feel this is a much stronger therefore safer design considering the KRUZA's weight.

Nice aircraft and good to see it is made locally adding a great deal to its appeal in my opinion. I have just one question what is rotation speed? I see it on your specs but not sure what it means.

Cheers

Hi Trent
New K2 is 380kg new K3 will be lighter again. Pre-rotation with new hydraulic unit is 200+, but 50+ is all you need to start them going.

Hi Jordan
Thanks for your comments. Given those specs are based on the old K1, G-800and since I'am currently flying it, I know its the speed it will take off at, at MAUW 600kg's. This info realy doesnt worry gyro pilots, as we simply balance the machine on its mains, and wait for it to fly. FW pilots are the ones which usually ask this type of question.

Thanks Sam.

As A sidenote,

I wonder if the 600 mtow is holding back 2 seat gyro's (not being able to advance in safety measures) or would we be venturing into other problems... rotor size, hub bar stresses.... etc....

Keep up the good work and keep the video's commin.

Cheers

Regards,
Trent

VSRA has a flyin planned for this weekend near Echuca. We will have both Kruza's their flying, and will finally sign off K2 as a compliant 2 seater.
I hope to pick it up the following week, given machine is cleared with ASRA.
A HDV promotional video is then planned and the long awaited marketing push.
Stay tuned as you guys will be the first to be advised.
