Howdy Y'All
Just got back from ROC, had a helluva good time.
They WX was mostly rain Friday, but had a great day Saturday.
Went for a couple of fly's and learned a few things of the hands on verity. I went up with two bloke's just too get the feel of two differant machines. The first was a A\C and the second was a Dom. I'm glade to know the diff as it was a learning experance.
I took a bunch of pix so here's a few.

Only one question Sonny, how cum the 'spot' in the spot landing contest is 50' long??? [ i thought a spot was a spot.]

Looked to have been a bit wet too. :shiver:

Thanx for the pix BTW.

G'Day Birdy
I caint say for sure about the size of the landin spot, but imagine if you will, two lines 50' apart and an X in the centre he who lands closest to the X wins. Scott Essex walked away with the extrem braggin rights prize, In think it was 5'2" from the center of the X.

Yep it rained most of the day Friday, but Saturday was great about 72 deg F
The big mud pit was refered to as Lake Aken.

Glade you enjoyed the pix I'll post more in a day or two.

Ceialo Vista China

Heh Sonny,

Great photos ... thanks for sharing them with us* * *:friday:

Looks like you had a great weekend mate. Good to see you got a bit of time in the air too ... nothing like it!!!

you blokes seem to have a few of these get together's in the states ..... pity we can't organise more events like that here too. Although there always seems to be a few gyros that attend the fixed wing fly-ins.

cheers* *

Sonny,

I look at your photo's of the parking areas and I've got to feel sorry for you. Fancy getting in your gyro and having to pass over all those cracks. Talk about Elvis's "All shook up"
