Howdy all
20 years ago you made your own rotor blades, thats how you got your rotor blades in the first place , was you made them .... the art of doing so is not lost , its just darn hard to find
Sonny J. found this info... and I thought I'ed share it with ya .
the finished blades looked every bit as good as my factory built blades , and the construction is simple.....
the idea here is to laminate a 1/8"x2"x10' steel bar to a 1/4" plywood bottom to a 1" x2" x10" board and a 1/8" plywood top , carve out a airfoil shape to the leading edge and glue the 2 pieces of plywood togather at the trailing edge and you've got a rotor blade.
that you then fiberglass or paint to keep out the moisture .
the idea is simple and easy and they work !
Thought you might like to know !
( he also sells plans for his gyro as well )
the plans can be purchased from this feller...
for $35.00 (US)
