polly seat tanks

i have an old seat tank that is continualy blocking the feul outlet with a gluggy black tar like substance.

must be the feul and time spent out of action that has causes the tank to lose its integrety and do this.

i was wondering if there is a way to clean it out for good or should i just turf it ?

Hum howdy Hoody----kinda poetic ain't it. :focus:
Anyway If your tank has been used with mixed gas it may be that your seeing the oil left after the gas has evaporated.
But if infact it is the plastic the tank is made of------ CHUCK IT. If gas will do that to it, the tank will start to leak and I shudder to think what will happin when gas hits the HOT exhaust. :flamed:
