Your truck has a tree fall on it when you are at work,

Then you get home and find out that a tree has nearly wiped out your gyro as well [no pics]

But Iḿ lucky compared to some up here, Iḿ sure you´ve seen it on the news.

Cheers,

Nick.

Hi Nick

Guess youwould have preferred the other rocking of the van mate glad to hear your hi and dry and sorry to hear about the gyro. Was only a few months ago and we had flood water lapping so I kinda remember the feeling of waiting for the river to do its thing

Regards Mark

Sorry to hear about your escapades with trees Nick, I think you said the gyro was unscathed. How much damage to the van ?

Its been wild weather over your way there. Seems the crisis is still continuing and the clean up is going to be a huge job ! Its incredible to see so many homes flooded !

Mark,

No, thereś too many other tools to compete with in the back of my truck. Hope you do OK with the river.

I hope Wally Flaks shed at rutherford is right too, he might have some issues as I think he is near to the flood level where he´s at.

Eric,

The damage was bugger all, seems they build these vans pretty tough or the tree fell over very slowly, though enough to bust off a 3¨ branch - but that was caught by a Nic-Built roof rack which is good for a sling full of pipe. I got into the passenger seat today with my feet on the ceiling and popped it out, it took longer to get the tree off the truck, though I could end up with a sun roof to remove the crease when the branch broke off.

The gyro was ´nearly´ wiped out - by a stroke of luck the neighbours bird cage and my pear tree pulled the tree up before it got to the gyro, so Iḿ lucky that all I am up for is the same as for when I had the Manilla folder - a set of rotors and a prop.

And, yes, it does sort of look like I parked it like that after a misadventure with a bottle.. definitely not the case.

Cheers,

Nick.
