Hi all,

We recently had a bit of a brawl on the forum, I'm not sure whether everyone was aware of it.

What I'd like to do is get everyone opinion on whether they would like to see this sort of thing moderated or not? What I did as Administrator was to split the topic and move it into the Bar. I have set aside this area - The Bar for grievances such as this, but want to find out from all of you whether you are happy with this or not.

Please vote on this if you don't want to comment.

I agree with the way you handled this, you have graciously provided us with 'The Bar' so we can air our differances without retrobution.
Some thimes tempers flare and the posters forget that the bar is the place for the spatt, it then falls on you as admin. to move it or chastize the brawlers. I think haveing a place to have a brew haha is one of the many pluses this forum has.
Thank you so much for a great place to come and visit.
Regards
Sonny

I reckon you did the right thing Rotor.
It's inevetable that the odd thread will degrade into an all out spat between a couple o posters, we're only human. :punch:
And have'n 'the bar' is a good idea, its a place where people can clear up publikly some mistake or miss interpretation that starts elswhere :bat:. It also lets people show their real coulers and feelings without git'n into trouble and degrading the rest of the forum.
If anyone objects to wot goes on in the bar, they don't HAVE to read it, its a healthy part of democrasy.

Birdy, While I recognise the point you make, it needs to be balanced with the thought that what we say here in a public forum is far different than that which we might say "out behind the shed". There's no real purpose in arguing like spoilt kids in the sandpit. There's a fine line between debateing strongly and arguing. Knowing just where that line lies in people is a hard thing to judge but a good rule of thumb is if you are feeling a little hot under the collar, then more than likely so to will the other person.

We need to learn to just agree to disagree and leave it at that. BTW I enjoy all your other posts.

this is great,
one of the biggest turn offs of the other forums is an interesting or informative thread turning to a slinging match.
especialy when a young fella is tryin to learn about these gyros to see if they want to fly one or not.

i actualy gave up following the forums for a bit last year as it seemed like a bunch of scwobbling old women/know-alls tryin to out do each other!

i thought if thats what bein a gyro pilot does to you, count me out.

the hijackin portions of threads being sent to the bar and leaving the original one behind is absolutly awsome and a breath of fresh air.

aah ha, no mate me an that bear dont drink together any more. too many reports of

does not play well with others!!!

one drop and their isnt enough on the world to quench my thirst. last efort was with triple filtered and was no efort at all.
mixed to usual tast it let that bear sneek right up and make a fool of me. ended up lecturing a young buck as to why he should have a bit of dirt on his hat and pointed out that i diddnt like $300 dollar yank hats and told him to get an ausie one as i tore it off and jumped on it several times. the little fella diddnt apreciate my concern as to where the youth of australia was going and only puled up when flick tore my false teeth out so i diddnt chocke if i got hit. these falsies[or the rather large gap left behind] have saved me a couple of times now.

me and rum equals, :mrhappy:  :joy:  :peace:  :blahblah:  :poke:  :dribble:  :dizzy:  :punch:      :crazyas:
then i wake up as inocent as i was born with not a clue as why people are ofended. some people, i dont know.
im sure they have no sense of humor.

NOW and only NOW do i understand why Flick mentioned "I'll be keeping an eye on him and his behavior " the other night when i turned up with a square bear under my arm, you're a naughty boy then are'nt you, by the way i enjoyed the story, think of al the trouble we can get up to on the week end, :evil_laugh: we both may end up getting :bat: by Flick

Hoody, Please pass on my sympathy for Flick. I have to admit that tripple filtered stuff is better than mother's milk. I couldn't believe how smooth it was.

Ok,

I get the general feeling. We'll leave things as they are ... all brawls will be moved to the BAR
