That's when I saw the Gyros at Phillip Island and remembered that I had seen one in Germany before and always wanted to try one ever since.

So after looking at all the videos (don't you love you-tube), websites and forums I know that's the thing for me. I'm looking for a second hand gyro at the moment and would also like to start my training some time soon. I'll get in touch with Paul and hope that he can find some time to get me started.
What happened to the Kotta fly in event? I saw the other post today, jumped in my car and raced up there. Got there at 2.30 and ... no-one there?? Pitty I missed the link when I looked at this site last week.
Cheers Exidir
Why is everyone so scared to tell us there names
Anyway
Kotta was a great success, and the weather was even better, considering Melbourne got drenched.
I actually acheived 4.3 hours over the 2 days I attended.
All who attended saw lots of close up gyro flying, and what these great machines are cappable of.
Paul Bruty conducted lots of T.I.F's (Trial Introductory Flights), for people to experience gyros first hand.
As I had posted previously, the main days were Saturday and Sunday. We had around 30 people attend, Aerochute, G.A., Trike, and ultralight people. including locals with aviation interests.
Saturday night we had dinner and drinks then followed by the Rotorcraft Assosiation of Victoria club meeting and A.G.M. Once finished, I presented a power point presentation on "Understanding the gyroplane" this was to give all attendee's a better understanding on their history, and how / what makes a gyroplane fly.
For those who missed it, well you will have to wait for the next one

All in all a great weekend
